Everything You Want to Know

If you are flying, please book your tickets to Detroit International Airport (DTW). Detroit is a Delta Airlines hub, but is also serviced by most other major airlines. The airport is a 30-minute drive from the University of Michigan campus. Options for travel to Ann Arbor from the airport include:

  • Taxis from the airport to Ann Arbor typically cost ~$50-$60.
  • Uber/Lyft rides from the airport to Ann Arbor typically cost ~$30-$40.
  • The Michigan Flyer/Air/Ride is available for $22 round trip with advance purchase.

The main entrance to Michigan Ross is located at 701 Tappan Ave in Ann Arbor, MI. Once you arrive in the main lobby, please follow the signs for check-in.

Michigan Ross will provide some shuttle service during GBR weekend; an official schedule will be sent out in the spring.

If you drive or rent a car, we encourage you to leave your car at your hotel, as parking at the University of Michigan is extremely limited. However, should you need to drive to campus, there are several public parking lots allocated throughout Ann Arbor that typically cost about $1.30 per hour. The most convenient parking structure to the Ross School of Business is the Forest Avenue Parking Structure located at 650 S Forest Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

Ann Arbor has numerous accommodation options, including hotels and Airbnbs.

There is a grouping of hotels that we suggest booking at around some of our room blocks, and we will provide some shuttle service from designated locations in that group of hotels. Those hotels are located off of Victors Way or Boardwalk Drive off of South State Street. To name a few: Hyatt Place Ann Arbor, Courtyard by Marriott, Sheraton Ann Arbor Hotel, Hampton Inn Ann Arbor South, Holiday Inn & Suites, Kensington Hotel, Even Hotels, Fairfield Inn by Marriott.

The shuttles will pick up and drop off from the Hyatt Place and Kensington Hotels and the Residence Inn area for the weekend. You can walk to either hotel for shuttle service if you are staying close by.

The following room blocks are available at a discounted rate: Please see information below for how to book at each location. Room blocks are for the dates of Thursday, April 11, Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13.

YES! Partners and significant others are welcome at Go Blue Rendezvous and they are strongly encouraged to attend. GBR provides an exceptional opportunity for partners and significant others to meet other Ross Partners, learn about the Ann Arbor area, experience the Michigan Ross culture, and address any concerns they might have through partner specific programming.

A number of events are designed specifically for partners. Partner registration should be completed when the admitted student completes their registration.

Although Michigan Ross is a very family-friendly business school, most of the activities planned during Go Blue Rendezvous are not well-suited for children.

We strongly encourage you to attend all of the formal Go Blue Rendezvous events to learn as much as you can about Michigan Ross, our academics, our culture, and whether the school is a good fit for you.

We will provide free shuttle service for event programming to and from the Hyatt Place/Kensington Hotel area and Residence Inn Marriott, the Ross School of Business, and some special Ann Arbor destinations. We will also provide some Uber and Lyft transportation vouchers you can use. Dinner on Thursday, along with breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday are on us. You are responsible for the cost of your own airfare, hotel/lodging accommodations, additional ground transportation, and any other meals.

You're welcome to visit campus on your own, but please note that the Admissions office won't have any organized programming and class visits won’t be available.

Dress for all events is casual, and maize and blue are always encouraged! Formal attire is not required for any event. Weather in Ann Arbor can be fairly unpredictable in April, so please come prepared to dress for both warm and chilly temperatures (layers are a great idea). Your best bet is to check the weather before you leave and pack accordingly.

The registration deadline for GBR is April 2, 2024.

Not a problem! Please email Melissa Coveney at mcove@umich.edu
