Marcus Collins, MBA '09; I am so excited to announce the launch of my first book For The Culture: the power behind what we buy, what we do, and who we want to be. The book examines the influence of culture on human behavior and unpacks how everyone from marketers to activists can leverage culture to get people to take action. Throughout the book, I rely on literature, case studies, my own work (with Beyoncé, Apple, and different ad agencies), and a ton of data (from my academic work) to illustrate the “whys” and the “hows” so that readers will be empowered to successfully apply these learnings in their own pursuits. Michael Bow, MBA '79; I exited the corporate world in 1992 to advise and manage wealth strategies for a small number of family offices. Whether to provide a legacy plan for future generations or to "spend assets so that the last check written in this life bounces," I feel as though I've taken near full advantage of the financial talents the Lord gave me, combined with entrepreneurial skills gleaned from accounting, finance and small business classes at Michigan. The friends made along the way, the places traveled and the life lived could hardly have been better, let alone dreamed of. Best news? God is not finished with me yet. [EST. 10.2022]

Please visit here for more info: https://tinyurl.com/2rz53jrd About the Book: 'All the Places We Call Home' illuminates how family stories help shape children, help form their identity, and help connect them with the broader world. The lyrical language, paired with Jenin Mohammed's richly textured artwork, creates a beautiful, stirring portrait of a child's deep ties to cultures and communities beyond where she lays her head to sleep.
